GOLD COPD Contributors to Discuss New GOLD Strategies at ATS 2017

Members of the Global Initiative for Chronic Obstructive Lung Disease (GOLD) Board of Directors and Science Committee will be hosting a scientific seminar at the American Thoracic Society 2017 International Conference, Wednesday, May 24, 2017, 1:30 PM – 3:30 PM. The seminar, entitled “Putting the 2017 GOLD COPD Recommendations into Clinical Practice,” will provide clinicians with the latest evidence-based strategies for managing COPD.  Specific topics addressed will in include Diagnosis, Treatment of Stable COPD, Management of Exacerbations, Asthma-COPD Overlap Syndrome and Future Needs in COPD.
Faculty for this event will include: Dr. Alvar Agusti (Universitat de Barcelona), Dr. Bartolome Celli (Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston), Dr. Roberto Rodriguez-Roisin (Hospital Clínic, Barcelona), and Dr. Claus Vogelmeier (University of Giessen and Marburg School of Medicine, Marburg), all members of the GOLD Board of Directors.  Dr. Nicholas Roche (Cochin Hospital, Paris), Dr. Jadwiga Wedzicha (National Heart and Lung Institute, London), Dr. Gerard Criner (Temple University School of Medicine Philadelphia, PA) and Dr. Leonardo Fabbri (University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, Modena), all of GOLD’s Science Committee, are also anticipated to participate.
